Why would a 45 year old man have the goal of giving up his highly paid consultancy business to focus on psychotherapy and sport ?
I cannot sum it up better than the headlines to the right.
It might have taken a little longer than I would have liked back then - but like all dreams, they take time and we learn much more on the way than we ever imagined. And we get much more out of them than we ever thought we would !
The photograph at the side says much of what it is about sport that ignites my passion. All the athletes I work with look like this at some point or other, we just managed to capture this on camera. When I asked the young man for permission to use this photograph, he wondered why on earth would I want to use such a photograph.
This photograph for me captures the essence and beauty of sports performance.
Moments in time where we challenge ourselves almost to the death.
Sport is a celebration of the human spirit.
Many have the opinion that sport is a waste of time. You can see my story about that on one of the other pages on this website.
For me, sport is an arena of life where we can challenge ourselves and others to get the absolute very best out of each other.
We can ask ourselves from now until eternity why we do this. Isn't it enough to know that
IT FEELS SO GOOD !!
